It is a great pleasure for us to invite you to this international conference on
vesicoureteral reflux in children June 4-6, 2009. The basis for the conference
is the Swedish Reflux Study, a randomised, controlled study including three arms
– prophylaxis, endoscopic treatment and an observation group. The study will be
completed in December 2008.
The emphasis of the conference will be on different aspects on management of
children with dilating reflux. The programme will cover recurrent infections and
the need for prophylaxis based on recent studies, development of reflux
including the effect of endoscopic treatment, and risk of renal damage and
long-term prognosis. The final day of this 3-day conference will focus on
imaging strategies for children with urinary infections – a hot topic today.
We have the honour of welcoming a number of international scientists in this
field who will participate in the programme.
